SMB Share Alias

I came across this great post on HomeWorks Blog on how to add an alias to a server share, which is a summary of MSKB 281308.

I have tested using a Windows Server 2008 R2 server for the share with multiple aliases. So long as the SPN is set, there have not been problems connecting to the share from any client from a current Windows 7 or 2008 R2 all the way back to Windows NT4.
